The next 3 september 2025, the Ixtlahuaca University will commemorate the XX Anniversary of the Faculty of Criminology with an event of great academic and scientific relevance in the field of Criminal Law and Criminology.
During the commemorative congress, There will be the distinguished presence of Dr. Luis Arroyo Zapatero, President of the International Society of Social Defense and recognized International Treaty in Criminal Law and Criminology. Within the framework of this celebration, El dr. Arroyo Zapatero will grant the Medalla Cesare Beccaria, a recognition that honors the trajectory and outstanding contributions in the criminological discipline.
On this occasion, The medal will be granted to the Mexican illustrious Dr. Luis Rodriguez Manzanera, jurist, Criminologist, Academic and Criminal Law Specialist, Clinical Criminology and Crime Prevention. His career has been fundamental for the progress of a criminal policy with a humanistic approach, based on the justice, Social rehabilitation and respect for human rights.
This tribute reflects not only the prestige of the Faculty of Criminology of the University of Ixtlahuaca, but also their commitment to academic training and the promotion of principles that strengthen a more just and equitable society.
The delivery of the Medalla Cesare Beccaria it will be, definitely, one of the most significant moments within the XVIII Multidisciplinary International Congress "DR. Alfonso Quiroz Cuarón ", that will bring together national and international specialists to reflect on the current challenges of criminology and criminal law.
The celebration of these two decades of academic work not only frames recognition with exemplary trajectories, but also opens the way to new research proposals, Criminological teaching and practice that put the human being in the center of criminal policies.
